MPI have set up a group on Facebook called the MPI Global Student Community. Log on to Facebook now and add this group to your profile! The MPI student community is where future professionals in the meetings and events industry connect and share information, knowledge, ideas and opportunities with peers around the world.
IMEX has also set up a network page for its Future Leaders on Facebook. Future Leaders Forum graduates are encouraged to enter topics and questions that will develop into meaningful and interesting discussions, as well as access news on Future Leaders Forums around the world. Future Leaders Network mentors
The Network is very privileged to have some of the most senior and respected leaders in the industry as student mentors. The role of the Network mentors is to assist Future Leaders Forum graduates who are working in the industry through advice, contacts and information.

Industry events
If there is an industry event taking place near you, it will be well worth your time to visit them and see the meetings industry at work. It will give you an excellent insight into how different markets operate and the range of sectors within the meetings industry from airlines to conference centres to hotels. Some of these events will have an educational/training content.
