How the Process Works
Selection and Registration
IMEX works with almost 400 intermediaries (hotel groups, airlines, representation companies, associations and publications) worldwide to deliver hosted buyers to the exhibition. Intermediaries invite their key clients to attend IMEX as a part of their hosted buyer group. Once invited hosted buyers apply online via a secure web address, specific to the intermediary.
Qualification Process
When filling out the online application, hosted buyers will be asked to supply details of international events that they have organised previously, including location, venue, dates and the numbers of people attending. Once the application has been completed, this is checked by the intermediary and the IMEX hosted buyer team. Further information may be requested to support the application and venues mentioned in the application may be contacted for verification purposes. Once qualified, hosted buyers will receive a confirmation email welcoming them to the programme. Applicants who do not qualify for the hosted buyer programme are welcome to attend IMEX independently.
Programme Details
Using the information supplied in the application, the IMEX hosted buyer team will organise appropriate flights or train travel. Hotel accommodation will be booked according to the preference of the intermediary. Hosted buyers can view their flight and accommodation details in the online Hosted Buyer Zone. Most hosted buyers will be issued with e-tickets, except where specified. From six weeks prior to IMEX hosted buyers are able to use the online appointment system in order to make their pre-scheduled individual appointments with exhibitors of their choice. Hosted buyers will receive their IMEX entry badge, programme itinerary and Show Briefing approximately four weeks before IMEX.
At IMEX
Hosted buyers are able to use the hosted buyer lounge at the show, have exclusive registration facilities and a dedicated onsite IMEX support team. Shuttle buses run continuously between the airport and Messe Frankfurt. Shuttle buses are also provided between hosted buyer hotels and Messe Frankfurt.
