Each
year tmf, in partnership with IMEX, conducts research into the German outbound buyer market. Research of the agency and corporate buyer markets
is undertaken through phone interviews, postal surveys and focus groups.
The research provides information on the business outlook for MICE agencies and corporate planners in Germany, the split between domestic and outbound events and their preferred destinations. An insight into the preferred sources for destination and venue information is given alongside which onsite services are most important when planning an event abroad. The German market is looked at from the position of a convention bureau, tourist office or hotel group.
The results of the 2008 research were presented at IMEX on 23 and 24 April.
